Vermont Skiing Resorts
Vermont vs. New York Skiing?
I live in the philadelphia area so it would take me equal time to get to a mountain such as Okemo or Killington in VT and also to get to Whiteface Mountain in NY. Which is the best? Whiteface seems cool cause it was an olympic mountain and the prices are almost equal to VT resorts. Any recommendations? Would also consider Stowe, Jay or other good resorts in VT/NY/NH area
Jay peak is great, so is Killington(HUGE MOUNTAIN). I also like Whiteface too ,great mountain, but beware that it can be very icy, that’s why it’s called “iceface”. I would not recommend Okemo, imo, it’s WAY too crowded. I went to Stowe when I was about 6, and we only skied 1 run because the wind chill was -60, so i can’t really give an opinion on it. Also in Vermont is Mount Snow, which is pretty big, and if you like to ski in the park, They have a whole mountain of parks, but also a huge selection of nice groomer runs too.
